The beef liver and lung is like catnip for hedgehogs - it's normal for them to anoint like crazy before they get down to business eating. If you don't want a liver-painted hedgie, a wet washcloth or wipe takes most of the mess off if you wipe them clean before the saliva foam dries. ;)
