These Dried Dubia are a great choice for a light, crispy hedgie snack! We raise the dubia here on site, and dry them at a "medium" size for easy portions.
Why are dubia so much more expensive than the other insects?
In general, dubia roaches are pretty pricey as feeders - they grow slowly! They typically take 6-8 months to reach maturity, compared to other feeder insects which are often full grown within 1-3 months. If you were to purchase ~100 medium dubia (our small bottle size) as live feeders, you could expect to pay $20+. These ones have the same nutritional benefits, and are shelf stable!
We're striving to make feeding insects more accessible. We hope you enjoy offering a variety of different insects to your hedgie(s)!
