We are excited to start offering dried silkworm pupae, or as we like to call them, Hedgie Bugguettes! These nutritious bugs are the pupa form of the silkworm moth. They have a flaky, buttery texture that is honestly suspicious in how much they are like a tiny croissant!
These high quality pupae come from a farm in Vietnam where they are processed to food grade standards for human consumption. They are cooked before shipment, and then we dry them here at Hedgehog Precision for a long shelf life and that light, crumbly texture that makes them extra enticing to hedgies.
