Staple Diet (Weight Control and Standard) Stock Update

Hello! We've almost survived all of 2024. It's been a challenging year for many of us, so I hope 2025 treats everyone well! 

It has been an extended, painful process of coordinating having new kibble batches produced, which I feel awful about. I had hoped to have new food stocked and ready to ship out nearly a year ago - but in typical fashion it has been like pulling teeth to make happen. While we were able to find several manufacturing facilities that would have worked to produce our food, ultimately they backed out because they have plenty of other business and accommodating a small niche order is just not as profitable. And that's even with me offering to pay a much higher price, or order much more food, if they could just help us get it made. At this point, barring any last-minute speed bumps and assuming our nutritional and food safety tests all come back as expected, we should have fresh, delicious hedgie kibble shipping out within a month! We still don't have an ideal long term production solution, but for now we get to have our food made in a very premium facility, and the extra cost is totally worth it for getting new food produced.

We've been looking forward to this for ages - we've tweaked the formulas to make them even better, based on results and feedback on the previous formulations. If you used and loved our last Weight Control batch (we definitely did), the new WC will be almost identical, and the new Standard will be much closer to the last WC which so many hedgies did great on. We can't wait for it to be produced early next month, and then get it through our testing process so we can start shipping out!

Thanks so much for hanging in here with us. It's been a really tough wait for us too (not just financially, our hedgies miss the old WC!) and we appreciate you all patiently waiting as we navigate an industry that is not built for small businesses!
